Breaking News: 22, June 2020 - Latest Kenya Covid-19 Cases and Updates

On Monday 22nd of June, The Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi announced on a press briefing the onset of 59 new cases that resulted from the 2354 tests conducted that given day.


Thus the total number of positive cases stood at 4797. Luckily, 73 recoveries were noticed bringing the total number of recoveries to 1680. He however sent his heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the 2 patients succumbed to the virus bringing the total Of the cases, 47 are male and 12 are female.

 
She urged the people of Kenya to take care of our mothers as they are prone to this disease. She possed a challenge to the public in taking self-care and responsibility in the communities. 

The latest figures bring the total number of samples tested in the country so far to 142,366.

"We are aware that some counties are experiencing an upsurge of asymptomatic patients. The success of the home-based care system will require the participation of each one of us.

“The Ministry of Health (MoH) has adopted an enhanced approach that is centered on communities and the roles they can play in helping to mitigate Covid-19. We have partnered with community healthcare workers and so far 12 million households have been reached " she explained
