Anne Mumbi Waiguru

Governor Waiguru is serving her second and final term under the current constitutional limit. She is a former Cabinet Secretary for Devolution and Planning, where she spearheaded the Huduma Centres initiative. Her gubernatorial tenure has focused on healthcare transformation through the "Kirinyaga Care" universal health coverage pilot, agricultural value addition, and infrastructure development. She is a prominent national figure and has served as Chair of the Council of Governors.
