Cornel Amoth Rasanga

Cornel Rasanga Amoth is a seasoned Kenyan public leader, lawyer, and governance professional who served as the first Governor of Siaya County from 2013 to 2022. With a professional background spanning public administration, procurement and law, Rasanga brings decades of experience in public-sector management and governance to the political arena.

Having led Siaya County for two terms, Rasanga has firsthand experience in the workings of devolution, county administration and public resource management. In 2026, he declared his intention to seek the Siaya Senate seat in the 2027 General Election, positioning his extensive experience in county governance as a foundation for his bid to serve Siaya at the national level.
