Deonysias Mwangi Waithira

Deonysias Mwangi Waithira was elected as the Member of County Assembly for Githurai Ward in Roysambu Constituency, Nairobi City County, in the 2022 General Election on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, receiving 9,051 votes. During his time in office, he represented Githurai residents in the Nairobi City County Assembly and raised concerns about local infrastructure and public services, including roads, Githurai Level 3 Hospital, and the proposed Githurai Sports Ground. He announced his resignation in September 2025, citing challenges in securing implementation of development projects and delivery of services to residents.
