Dr. Jane Karimi Mwaniki

Dr. Jane Karimi Mwaniki, popularly known as Dagitari or the Embu Iron Lady, is a prominent Kenyan medical professional, grassroots advocate, and public servant contesting the Embu County Woman Representative seat for 2027. A dedicated clinical champion, she serves as a County Chief Officer within the Embu County Government and runs the impactful Wimenye na Dagitari ("Know Yourself with the Doctor") community health program. Her transformative legislative agenda centers on restructuring local health systems, streamlining the Social Health Authority (SHA) framework, and aggressively championing social welfare programs for vulnerable groups, including women, youth, orphans, and Persons with Disabilities (PLWDs).
