Joseph Ole Lenku

Joseph Jama Ole Lenku is a prominent Kenyan politician and hotelier currently serving his second term as the Governor of Kajiado County, a position he has held since August 2017. A member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) political party, he is widely recognized as a primary spokesperson for the Maa-speaking communities across Kenya. Before transitioning to county leadership, Ole Lenku built a successful corporate career in the hospitality industry with the Serena Group of hotels and later served as the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government under President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration from 2013 to 2014. As governor, his administration has prioritized socio-economic development, modernizing public markets, expanding healthcare access, and advocating for secure community land rights.
