Judy Oricho

Judy Oricho is an accomplished Kenyan human rights defender, community organizer, and political aspirant contesting the Member of Parliament (MP) seat for Matayos Constituency in Busia County for the 2027 general elections. Born in Thika and raised in Busia, her early life hardships fueled a deep-seated commitment to grassroot advocacy, eventually leading her to serve as the Regional Director for the US Institute for Diplomacy and Human Rights (USIDHR) and CEO of the Awino Love Foundation. Recognized globally as a Peace and Tourism Ambassador, the 33-year-old leader utilizes her robust background in civic engagement and gender equality to drive her campaign platform. Dubbed "Migogo 001" by her supporters, her legislative vision centers around mitigating severe youth unemployment, introducing economic safety nets for small-scale traders, and providing authentic, inclusive representation for women and youth in Western Kenya.
