Martin Pepela Wanyonyi

Hon. Martin Pepela Wanyonyi is a trailblazing Kenyan politician who made history in the 2022 General Election by becoming the country's first elected Member of Parliament living with albinism, representing Webuye East Constituency on a FORD-Kenya party ticket. Affectionately known as "Investor," his political journey began as a nominated Member of the County Assembly (MCA) in Bungoma in 2013, before he successfully transitioned to grassroots politics to win the Ndivisi Ward MCA seat in 2017. Prior to his legislative career, Wanyonyi dedicated his time to human rights advocacy as a Programme Officer for the United Disabled Persons of Kenya (UDPK), a background that heavily shapes his current national platform as a fierce champion for the social inclusion, economic empowerment, and rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and minorities.
