Phelix Odiwuor Khodhe

Phelix Odiwuor Khodhe, widely known as Jalang’o, is a Kenyan politician, comedian, and media personality who currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Lang’ata Constituency. Born in Homa Bay in 1983, he first gained national fame through entertainment, particularly his role in Papa Shirandula and his work as a radio presenter on stations like Kiss 100 and Radio Maisha. Beyond media, he built a career in entrepreneurship with his firm Arena Media and a strong digital presence through Jalang’o TV. In 2022, he successfully transitioned into politics under the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), defeating incumbent Nixon Korir. His political agenda emphasizes youth empowerment, community development, and grassroots engagement, reflecting his background in community development studies at Daystar University. Despite his popularity, he has faced controversies, including allegations of involvement in scams, though these remain disputed.
