About Tubi Mohamed Tubi
Tubi Mohamed Tubi is the current Member of Parliament (MP) for Isiolo South Constituency in Kenya, representing the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party. Election and Sibling Rivalry He was elected on February 26, 2026, following a highly publicized parliamentary by-election. The by-election drew widespread national attention because it featured a direct political face-off between siblings. Tubi Mohamed Tubi won the seat under the ruling UDA party banner after securing 7,352 votes, comfortably defeating his sister, Bina Tubi, who ran on a Jubilee Party ticket and finished second with 634 votes. Succession of His Father The parliamentary seat originally fell vacant following the untimely death of their father, Hon. Mohamed Tubi Bidu, on November 12, 2025. The senior Mohamed Tubi was a veteran public servant, former Chief Game Warden, and the inaugural Speaker of the Isiolo County Assembly (2013–2017) and had been elected as the Isiolo South legislator in August 2022. Following his passing, local Borana elders and community leaders endorsed his eldest son, Tubi Mohamed Tubi, to preserve and continue his father's leadership legacy
